ARE ALL PATIENTS ADJUSTED THE SAME WAY?

No, each person is different and our Chiropractors use an individualised approach to healthcare. Each adjustment, stretch or strengthening protocol is tweaked to suit your bodies needs.

IS CHIROPRACTIC CARE SAFE?

Yes, there are multiple scientific reviews reporting that spinal manipulation is one of the safest approaches for spinal pain compared with many different medical approaches.

DO I NEED A MEDICAL REFERRAL TO VISIT A CHIROPRACTOR?

No, Chiropractors are primary care physicians. It is not necessary to get a referral from an MD. However, we do accept EPC, insurance and workers comp. referrals from Doctor’s for chronic pain and insurance claims.

DO INSURANCE COMPANIES COVER CHIROPRACTIC CARE?

Chiropractic is covered by most private health funds. In addition, there is a chiropractic benefit in Worker’s Compensation, Transport Accident Insurance. Chiropractic care is also available to members of the armed forces through the Dept of Veteran’s Affairs.

IS IT NECESSARY TO KEEP COMING BACK TO THE CHIROPRACTOR?

In a perfect world, the answer is no, however, due to technological advances such as iPad’s and mobile phones we are putting a lot of strain over the joints and ligaments which may produce pain and discomfort in the short and long term. This is why it is a good idea to continue seeing your Chiropractor.

WHAT IS THE POPPING SOUND?

The popping sound is gas being released from the joint, this allows the joint to increase its function as the gas is no longer acting as a barrier. The bones do NOT change position, as previously understood.

IT IS SAFE TO DO WORK ON KIDS OR PREGNANT LADIES?

Yes, Chiropractic is extremely safe when taking care of infants and pregnant ladies. Our chiropractors have an extensive post-university study to allow us to take better care of your entire family. Our adjustments are also modified to suit the body type we are adjusting.
Chiropractic is important for the correction and maintenance of a woman’s pelvis as it undergoes changes during pregnancy.

WHAT IS DRY NEEDLING?

Dry needling is the use of acupuncture needles to dysfunctional tissues to improve and restore function.

IS DRY NEEDLING SAFE?

Yes, multiple studies have concluded that when in use by an experienced practitioner such as a Chiropractor, dry needling can be a very effective and safe form of treatment.

IS DRY NEEDLING PAINFUL?

Dry needling usually results in an ache, this does sometimes hurt especially when we get a twitching phenomenon. The pain is bearable and only lasts a few seconds generally.
