Dr Shawn How Tow has always been personally interested in sports and exercise and was a high-level state tennis player competing at both national and international levels for Mauritius. He also competed nationally in Australia and represented Applecross Senior High School at the Australian School Tennis Challenge in Wagga Wagga and Albury.
Dr Shawn has experienced sporting injuries as a player himself and has had many opportunities to treat sporting injuries. One of his greatest driving forces to becoming a sports chiropractor was his experience with how frustrating injuries can be and how they can sideline great athletes when untreated or treated without an active approach.
As a sports chiropractor, Dr Shawn still wishes to serve all walks of life to rehabilitate and to have a higher performance for all his patients in whatever their chosen sports and activities are.
Dr Shawn believes in individual centred care while utilising a range of treatment modalities including spinal adjustments, mobilisation, soft tissue therapies and taping to meet the specific needs of each patient. One of his many other goals is to also to work with you with a strong emphasis on rehabilitation and education to teach you how to self-manage your condition.
Outside the clinic, he practices what he preaches with regular gym sessions to stay fit and healthy. He also enjoys spending time at the beach and enjoys playing tennis as often as he can.
